Are you getting good Marketing Results?
Do you know what to expect from your marketing dollars - Marketing Results! When evaluating your marketing results, you need to ask yourself - Are your expectations realistic? Are you achieving your expectations? These are questions every organization should be asking about each of their marketing and advertising dollars. If you cannot report that you are making money from the dollars you are spending, then why are you spending them? If your goal is to only create brand awareness of your product or service than it is reasonable to expect that you will get no direct return on investment from those marketing dollars. This would simply conclude that you anticipate your sales will come from people being aware of your product or service. Do you think this is an effective way of marketing? Not only is this a slow growth method of marketing it is also usually reserved as a tactic employed bylarge corporations who havevery large marketing budgets. Of course these companies see instant marketing results, however most businesses do not have these luxurious budgets so we all need to be careful with how we are going to spend our limited dollars to ensure they are being effectively used and to ensure we get the best marketing results for our invested dollars.
Each initiative you decide to perform within your strategy plan should be held accountable for producing revenue. Why would you ever spend money to make nothing in return?
Developing a strategic plan that directs each initiative to be responsible for each dollar that is required to implement that initiative is what every good strategy plan should include.
Generating effective marketing results doesn't have to be a grueling task - just think outside of the box a little bit. What it will all boil down to is making your marketing efforts consistent - meaning your efforts are unforgettable with your customers, but still maintain the value of what the brand/company stands for.
